GRI Education
"I can adapt one system to a new market fast."
What it is
A B2B real estate professional education platform, architecturally adapted from the Color Made platform for a completely different audience.
Key Features
- Same core architecture as Color Made, rebuilt with new data layer, visual identity, and tone for a B2B audience
- Delivered in a fraction of the time of a from-scratch build
- Real instructor content from industry professionals
Outcome
Proof that the underlying platform architecture is reusable IP, not a one-off build.
Architectural Rationale
GRI runs on its own separate Supabase project rather than sharing a database with Color Made. This design decision enforces full infrastructure isolation between two unrelated businesses, guaranteeing no risk of cross-tenant data exposure and establishing a clean compliance boundary.
Reusing Color Made's proven schema (courses, enrollment, tiers) instead of designing from scratch is what made a fast, low-risk entry into an unproven vertical possible. The primary risk profile belonged to the new market and audience fit, not the underlying data model. By leveraging existing schema, that layer did not need to be reinvented, conserving engineering cycles for user-facing adaptation.
The Presentation Layer Shift
While the data model remained consistent, the visual identity and tone were entirely rebuilt. A B2B real estate audience inherently expects a more formal, structured register compared to a B2C entrepreneurship platform, requiring a complete refactoring of the semantic styling and component library themes.
